Scorpion

Here's a photo taken with my phone from my Moleskine. I slightly adjusted to tone to make it brighter and easier to see. I left my pencil in the picture so you can see about the size I was sketching...My pencil is 6' tall though so it's kind of misleading.

I've really been wanting to push my proportions further and further. How far can I push them to the point of looking stupid? Tiny head, huge shoulders, almost hooves instead of feet. I love the feel of it. The movement the pencil gives it scares me away from coloring it. I love the action it gives to a still figure.

On to why I drew this. I was playing Mortal Kombat Earlier and there's just something I really hate about it. There's something so...cartoony about it. I feel it should be much grittier and darker than it is. My style could never capture what I imagine this game should be, but I will probably continue reimagining the characters for fun. Enjoy!
